Our Story

You know how when your setting up or breaking camp in your Airstream (R) and the tool or piece of equipment you need is stored in the rear compartment? You end up walking all the way to the back of your trailer to retrieve an item that should be handy and up front for hitching and unhitching. Or the piece of equipment you need to simplify the hitching process is just not where you really need it?  

Our Airboard TM helps to solve this annoyance by creating a convenient place to store the essential items you need to get to relaxing and start camping faster or hitching up and hitting the road home or pushing off to your next fun destination. 

The Airboard was developed after observing seasoned Airstream owners connecting their trailers at campgrounds. We also reviewed hundreds of comments on social media relating to the LP Cover space, Airstream forum conversations, and watched on YouTube. We came to the conclusion that there is unused space inside the LP Cover that can be utilized as storage space up at the front of the trailer. So that is how the Airboard was born.

After extensive study of the market, along with surveying American and Foreign manufacturers, we decided to take the plunge and produce a quality product that is "Made in America". Made carefully for Airstream owners the Airboard creates more storage in a trailer that can certainly use more exterior storage. 


We partnered with very talented people in the wood, and metal fabricating shops around Los Angeles California. These carefully selected companies include a super talented independent wood worker located in  Simi Valley CA, and a state-of-the-art metal fabricator. Although the domestic production price is much higher than importing the Airboard, we believe the ability to seamlessly discuss product material, variety, color, texture and other important elements of bringing the Airboard system to the Airstream community is invaluable. Not to mention the fact that Airboard production is  supporting our local economy by employing homegrown workers. Maintaining the spirit of manufacturing a product that is being Made in America is also important to this enterprise.
